As with every other Aged Care facility we have been in and out of lockdown over the past twelve months – our team has been incredible every single time. What lockdown has shown us is that together we can make the hard doable and so very rewarding. Many of our teams have been in lockdown areas working in small teams for extended periods of time. They have been sustained by food and drinks and messages of support from other teams and families. Across our teams every single member has stepped in to do whatever needs to be done whenever it needs to be done. Our team was the first to do a practice run with the local PHU to test our systems prior to Covid hitting hard, we developed comprehensive family, resident and employee communication plans and spent the time ensuring all of our people felt supported and had clarity on our circumstances. What we know we have seen in action that Maroba employees have massive hearts and they work even harder when things get tough to ensure that Residents life their very best life!
