Paul listens, encourages and applies critical thinking to consider the workability of ideas put forward by the residents. He recently assisted residents to create a tree made with cardboard that the residents helped cut out and colour. This tree eventually had beautiful coloured flowers all made by our residents. This tree was the feature on the glass windows in the front foyer for residents and their families to enjoy, and was also visible from the palliative care room.
The impact for the team is a real sense of providing a home for our ageing community. It’s a home that offers input and choice and creates a peaceful space for all to enjoy. Paul inspires a sense of community.
The impact for the residents and families is the residents are encouraged to be creative and engaged in everyday decisions as well as larger decisions and projects. Families are always happy to see what mum or dad have been doing.
Paul is inspirational and excels with imagination and is an outstanding critical thinker. Well done Paul.
