Kylie has gone above and beyond her role as a Personal Carer to organise a program called Morning Melodies. Kylie has put a lot of thought into not only organising this event but making it therapeutic for clients and participants.
Morning Melodies is a community program run by Blue Care Roma and supported by Maranoa Regional Council that enhances the lives of many elderly people in Roma and the surrounding district. This program promotes healthy lifestyles and living as it allows those who are socially or geographically isolated to attend a community event that promotes dancing, singing, laughing and having an amazing time.
The laughter had by these clients whilst attending Morning Melodies also increases their endorphins which allow those suffering from depression, social and geographical isolation, as well as suffering from varying degrees of pain, a few hours of relief. Morning Melodies has become an integral and valued community event for our rural community.
Kylie, who is a PC with Blue Care Roma, has put her own time into making this event a success. She is an inspiration to the whole community and has created a desire for change for the greater good in others.
