Kim is such a caring and empathetic person, she is a wonderful support to our clients and staff and ensures they are feeling supported. She will call clients if she hasn’t heard from them in a few days to check in and is very astute at picking up if someone is struggling.
An example of this is when one of our under 65 clients, Eva*, was being evicted from her home. Kim called Homeless Hotline who put her in contact with Kyabra, who look after ladies and families who are about to be or are homeless. Kim explained Eva’s situation, which then helped them place her in a safe warm place to live. Eva is now in a one bedroom unit, with her own bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Her rent includes 2 meals a day, they are lunch and dinner, plus Eva also receives a social worker monthly.
