integratedliving Australia’s Wellness Introductory Program enables older Australians requiring rehabilitation to remain living independently at home. The program changes lives by helping clients increase functional strength, mobility and independence. When COVID-19 social distancing measures were set in place by public health, integratedliving Australia navigated its programs to a virtual format to ensure its clients could still participate.
Particularly with our clients, who live in regional, rural and remote Australia, the use of technology closes the gap to accessing health services. With the support of allied health team members and support workers, clients such as Tony Batts (pictured), were able to work on their mobility and general fitness from the comfort of home.
“The instructors and support staff are friendly and caring and ensure that health and safety of the participants are at the forefront. During this difficult social period, it is great to be able to participate in a therapeutic exercise program in the comfort of my own home.”
