“Seeing someone with Dementia come alive inside, with a smile that reaches their eyes. I am fortunate to have these highlights occurring on a daily basis” – these are Faye’s words.
Always promoting dignity and respect for clients living with Dementia, Faye is the Manager of Maranoa House and Club which offer programs to suit the abilities of people with mild, moderate or severe dementia. Faye has worked tirelessly for over 20 years to ensure that her clients at Maranoa receive the best possible care. Her personal touch is in every aspect of the care provided to those people that walk through the doors at Maranoa.
The infamous Melbourne lockdowns did not stop Faye providing care and support to her clients. She quickly developed a home support program whereby her staff visited the clients in their homes. This program enabled her client’s carers to have some respite from providing care to their loved ones whilst knowing they were in caring and loving hands.
Humble, passionate, inspirational, Fay touches lives. She advocates for a full life of people living with Dementia. Leading by example she shares skills and knowledge with staff, volunteers and carers across our organisation and community.
