What an incredible, challenging, well over two-year period we have just experienced. No matter what challenges we have had placed before us, particularly regarding COVID-19 we have managed to Adapt, Improvise and Overcome them. Care has been at the forefront of everything we have done and tried to do together as a united team so that we could best serve our community by keeping them engaged and connected.
There isn’t a day that goes by that I do not feel blessed to be working with such a committed team. Together we have placed care at the forefront of everything that we have done. We genuinely care for our clients, community, and each other. At all times we have strived to prevent social isolation and to connect our much-loved clients in their community.
We have been “Care In Motion”!
Despite the many obstacles and challenges that we have encountered, we have had some incredible successes. To that end, I must acknowledge and thank all our dedicated and committed Team members, Committee members and Volunteers. Without this committed team, we could not provide the critical and valuable services that we do for our community and particularly those in need and that are transport disadvantaged.
Through our community transport service, we have continued to provide a most valuable and personalised “door to door” service which our clients have truly valued. Here are just a few client comments: –
“Thank you so much to the service, ….my driver was very obliging and made me feel less guilty about my appointment running late and holding everyone up. I don’t know what I would do without you!” – Judy.
“Thank you for the wonderful service – I live on my own and don’t know what I would do without you. Thank you to everyone in the office and the volunteers for your support.” – Reg.
Our small and committed office team continue to perform well above and beyond their expected daily requirements no matter how challenging some days may be. They are the absolute caring, professional team when it comes to providing solutions to the constant and numerous obstacles placed before them. This team constantly strives to provide positive solutions for every client and situation so that people may stay healthy, and social connected in the community where they choose to live their lives to the fullest as they are duly entitled to. We are truly happy to be part of their lives and to assist them to continue to be socially engaged and connected.
It is with an overwhelming sense of pride that I am extremely pleased to nominate our team at Community Care and Transport Incorporated for the 2022 ACSA Recognition Program in the Community Connections – Organisation category. They are the most worthy nominees.
