Work Health and Safety and COVID-19: What you need to know – VIC/TAS

Work Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) obligations are an important part of aged care providers’ response to COVID-19. The health and safety of residents, clients and staff is already at the core of how providers operate. This webinar aims to give providers a greater understanding of WHS/OHS in the COVID-19 context and greater confidence in how they undertake and comply with their obligations in this area.

This webinar will refresh participants’ understanding of the WHS/OHS legislation and the duties of employers and employees in the workplace under this legislation. This includes consultation processes, obligations on PCBUs, the duties of HSRs and WHS/OHS risk management fundamentals. We will also focus on the COVID-19 specific issues such as access to and fit testing of P2/N95 masks for staff, the use of rapid antigen testing in the workplace and fatigue management.
