Recent Retirement Villages reforms which commenced in 2017 were followed by the Greiner Report and subsequent regulatory changes effective February 2021. 

In this webinar, we will set out the new asset management plan requirements and showcase a software system and a project management product which seeks to satisfy these requirements.

Changes take effect for the 2022-2023 budget period.   Assets would need to be registered and a management plan (3 year and 10 year) prepared.  In preparation, this means that these will need to be audited by an independent quantity surveyor or the auditor of the village by April 2022.

These requirements represent a new and complex territory for not just retirement village operators in NSW but also system software and project management tool developers.  Some operators find that developing their own spreadsheet system is a good start based on templates in the Secretary Guidelines. 

This webinar does not seek to provide a definitive answer to how you can meet the requirements but helps interrogate the kinds of issues and questions which you will need to find a solution for your particular circumstance.
